Return to List A Certified Wildlife Habitat...Right in River Forest!
Posted on Jun 24, 2010
Have you seen the Certified Wildlife Habitat™ Ron and Barb Suiter created in their front yard at 2720 Holly Brook Court? Not only is it beautiful, but according to the National Wildlife Federation (who certified the Suiters’ yard) the native flowering plants, shrubs and trees the Suiters’ planted provide food, water and a place for wildlife to raise their young.
In addition, they have planted “passion vines” along the side of their home which are adorned with brilliant blue “alien looking” passion flowers which attract butterflies. They have also fully landscaped their front and back yards with flagstone walks and patios. Their backyard is equally beautiful with landscaped greenery and rose bushes full of aromatic roses.
According to Barb, Ron has the real passion for gardening and enjoys it as his hobby. Whatever inspires the Suiters, the RFHA is just happy that we get to enjoy the fruits of their labor.
