At the Annual Meeting, three amendments to the RFHA Bylaws were presented, discussed at length, and approved. One amendment gives the elected Board authority to establish, publish, and enforce rules for the neighborhood. This is to allow us to enforce the existing Deed Restrictions, which themselves do not provide for enforcement. 

 

A related motion was approved to form a committee that will work for the next 60 days (until the week of June 22) to establish a set of standard rules that will uphold the spirit of our Deed Restrictions. This committee will also be setting up a penalty (fine) schedule, as well as an appeals process. The Community Services division of the Bedford Police Department, as part of their PACE (Police Alerting Citizines by Email) program, sent out an interesting article that they received from the Keller Police. If you keep electronics in your car (GPS, garage door opener, cell phone, etc.), you might want to read it and perhaps think twice.
